Product Technical Specifications
Dimensions: 70 cm x 40 cm x 1.5 cm.
Materials: Coir and non-slip base.
The paint on the doormats retains its original appearance for a long time. However, fading may occur due to intensive use or prolonged exposure to sun or rain. To keep your doormat in perfect condition, it is recommended to avoid exposure to these elements.
The coir fibers are attached to the base using an adhesive. Therefore, some fibers may be less securely attached than others, and it is perfectly normal for some fibers to come loose during the first few uses.
For cleaning, only use a dry brush. Do not use water and do not put the doormat in the washing machine.
Each doormat is made from the husk of approximately 25 coconuts. The husks are first submerged in coastal lagoons where they are harvested, then hand-beaten to extract the fibers. The doormats are then painted and decorated by hand, one by one, using different stencils. The paint is set using a traditional outdoor sun-drying technique. Finally, a non-slip base is added to keep the doormat firmly in place and reduce the risk of slipping.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do the patterns lose their sharpness over time?
The paint on the doormats remains intact over time. Discoloration is usually due to wear and tear or exposure conditions. It is important to remember that this doormat is designed for indoor use. If you want to preserve its original appearance, it should not be exposed to sun or rain.
Does it lose a lot of fibers?
The coir fibers are attached to the base using an adhesive. Since not all fibers are attached identically, it is perfectly normal for some to come loose at the beginning of use.
