Collection: Austroducks

Rudolf Doppelbauer, the current Managing Director of Austroducks, first discovered rubber ducks on a trip with friends in 2005. In a shopping mall in Beijing, he held such a specimen in his hand for a long time, fascinated, but did not buy it. A few weeks later, on the occasion of his 40th birthday, he received this rubber duck as a gift from his travel companions. A passion for collecting was born...

In January 2010, a day before a couple of friends were getting married, "Duck Dad," as he is now lovingly called, was lying in the bathtub wondering if anyone had ever designed their own rubber duck. During the festivities, he shared with his friends the idea of depicting Mozart as a rubber duck and was very well received.

As a trained waiter who has worked for many years in leading establishments in Salzburg, you have no idea how to start a business, but you have a large circle of friends and acquaintances who actively support you to this day. Mr. Rudolf's former apprentice Clemens Mayr designed the first Mozart duck and still designs the rubber ducks for Austroducks today. Iris Schweinöster is responsible for the product photos. But the family also helps a lot, niece Anna takes care of the social networks and nephew Maximilian checks the feasibility of the ideas.

And this year 2020, the company celebrates its 10th anniversary. 10 years of rubber ducks linked to Austria, 10 years of sustainability, 10 years of Austroducks.
