The coir fibers are attached to the base with glue. As a result, they are not all attached with the same intensity, and it is completely normal for some fibers to come loose during initial use.

For its maintenance, prefer dry cleaning. Use a brush, without water, and do not machine wash it.

Each doormat is made from the husk of approximately 25 coconuts. The husks are first "matured" in the coastal lagoons where they are harvested, then beaten by hand to extract the fibers. The doormats are then hand-painted and colored, one by one, using various stencils. A traditional open-air sun-drying technique is used to fix the paint to the doormat's surface. Finally, an anti-slip base is added to keep the doormat securely in place and reduce the risk of slipping.
