Product Technical Specifications
-
Dimensions: 70 cm x 40 cm x 1.5 cm.
-
Materials: Coconut fiber and non-slip base.
The paint on the doormat remains intact over time. Discoloration may occur due to continuous use or exposure to sun or rain. To keep it in perfect condition, it is therefore recommended to avoid exposure to these elements.
The coconut fibers are attached to the base with glue. For this reason, not all fibers are attached uniformly, and it is perfectly normal for some fibers to come loose at the beginning of its use.
For cleaning, proceed dry. Use a brush, do not use water, and do not put it in the washing machine.
Each doormat is made from the husk of approximately 25 coconuts. The husks are first "seasoned" in the coastal lagoons where they are harvested, then hand-beaten to extract the fiber. The doormats are then hand-painted and colored one by one using different stencils. A traditional sun-drying technique is used to set the paint. Finally, a non-slip base is added to keep the doormat firmly in place and reduce the risk of slips.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do the letters lose their sharpness over time?
- The paint remains intact over time. Discoloration is due either to use or to the conditions of the location where it is placed. It should be remembered that this is an indoor doormat: it should not be exposed to sun or rain if you want it to retain its original appearance.
Does it shed a lot of fibers?
- The coconut fibers are attached with glue. Since not all of them attach in the same way, it is perfectly normal for some fibers to come loose at the beginning.
