Product technical specifications:
Dimensions: 70 cm x 40 cm x 1.5 cm.
Materials: Coconut fiber and non-slip base.
The paint on the doormats remains intact over time. Discoloration may occur for various reasons, such as continuous use or exposure to sun or rain. To keep it in perfect condition, it is therefore recommended to avoid exposure to these elements.
The coir fibers are attached to the base with glue. As a result, not all fibers are retained with the same intensity, and it is completely normal for some fibers to come loose at the beginning of use.
For cleaning, dry clean. Use a brush; do not use water or put it in the washing machine.
Each doormat is made from the husk of approximately 25 coconuts. The husks are first "seasoned" in coastal lagoons where they are harvested, then hand-beaten to extract the fiber. The doormats are then painted and colored by hand, one by one, using different stencils. A traditional open-air sun-drying technique is then used to fix the paint to the surface of the doormat. Finally, a non-slip base is added to keep the doormat firmly in place and reduce the risk of slipping.
Frequently asked questions
Do the letters lose their sharpness over time?
- The paint on the doormats remains intact over time; discoloration is caused either by use or by the conditions of the location where it is placed. It should be kept in mind that this is an indoor doormat: it should not be exposed to sun or rain if you wish to keep it in its original condition.
Does it shed a lot of fibers?
- The coconut fibers are attached to the base with glue; of course, they do not all attach in the same way, so it is completely normal for the doormat to shed some fibers at the beginning of its use.
