Product technical specifications:
Dimensions: 70 cm x 40 cm x 1.5 cm.
Materials: coconut fiber and non-slip base.
The paint on the doormats remains stable over time. Discoloration may occur for various reasons, such as intensive use or exposure to sun or rain. To keep it in very good condition, it is therefore advisable to avoid this type of exposure.
The coconut fibers are attached to the base with glue. As a result, not all fibers are held with the same intensity, and it is completely normal for some fibers to come loose at the beginning of use.
For maintenance, dry clean. Use a brush, do not use water, and do not machine wash.
Each doormat is made from the husk of approximately 25 coconuts. The husks are first "seasoned" in coastal lagoons where they are harvested, then manually beaten to extract the fiber. The doormats are then painted and colored by hand one by one using different stencils. A traditional outdoor sun-drying technique then fixes the paint to the surface of the doormat. Finally, a non-slip base is added to keep the doormat securely in place and reduce the risk of slipping.
Frequently asked questions
Do the letters lose their sharpness over time?
- The paint on the doormats remains stable over time; discoloration is caused either by use or by the conditions of the location where it is placed. It should be kept in mind that this is an indoor doormat: it should not be exposed to sun or rain if you want to keep it in its original condition.
Does it shed a lot of fibers?
- The coconut fibers are attached to the base with glue; of course, they don't all attach in the same way, so it's perfectly normal for some fibers to come loose at the beginning of use.
