Coconut fibers are attached to the base with glue. Therefore, not all fibers are held with the same intensity, and it is completely normal for some fibers to detach during the first few uses.

Each doormat is made from the husk of approximately 25 coconuts. The husks are first "matured" in coastal lagoons where they are harvested, then hand-beaten to extract the fibers. The doormats are then painted and colored by hand, one by one, using different stencils. A traditional outdoor sun-drying technique is then used to fix the paint to the doormat's surface. Finally, a non-slip base is added to keep the doormat firmly in place and reduce the risk of slipping.
