Usage conditions

During the first use, the lava takes between 3 and 5 hours to heat up before you can see the wax flowing. In subsequent uses, the heating time is shorter.

The time it takes for the lava to start flowing depends on the ambient temperature. Optimal use is in a room between 22 and 25 ºC.

Do not touch any part of the lava lamp when it is on or has just been switched off. The lamp reaches very high temperatures to operate.

Yes, all lava lamps take quite a long time to heat up the first time, because the wax they contain has never been subjected to heat and needs time to reach the correct temperature. In subsequent uses, the heating time is shorter, provided the ambient temperature is adequate.

The liquid in my lamp is cloudy, what should I do?

Cloudy liquid is due to a component that the wax releases when heated. Generally, if the lamp remains on, this component dissipates. If not, return the lamp or contact us and we will provide you with a new bottle.

Can I use it for reading?

The lava lamp is purely decorative, the light is ambient to highlight a room. It is not recommended to use it as a primary light source for reading or other tasks requiring more intense lighting.

Where can I find the bulbs?

If a bulb blows, the lamp box contains a spare to resolve this situation. If both bulbs blow, contact us and we will provide you with a new one.
